When I searched for the phrase “hold fast unto it,” I found many references to “the rope of Allah,” which is interpreted to mean the Qur’an. The people are promised that if they hold fast to this cord, they will not go astray. I like this little parallel to the “iron rod” of the Book of Mormon.
